The Saint Nicholas Children’s Ministry is an integral part of the Saint Nick’s family. Our goal is to provide children from birth through fifth grade with opportunities to worship, learn, share, and spread God’s word in an age appropriate way.
Each section of this page is intended to help you understand more about our ministry. We want you to know that we view this ministry as one in which we join with our parents in order to teach our children to understand that they are loved by God, His Son Jesus, and have a wonderful future as His children.
Please let us know if you have any questions, or if we can be of any assistance. We look forward to hearing from you soon! To contact Amanda Petree, our Children's Ministry Director, click here.
Childcare: The Saint Nicholas nursery is provided for your children so that you may fully participate in worship, education classes, and other special events. Infants and toddlers are welcomed into a safe, nurturing, and Christian environment staffed by professional child care personnel.
Sundays at 10:00: Preschoolers through 5th grade are invited to join us each Sunday during the school year in Moore House. The 10 o’clock hour focuses on fellowship, service and team building. We believe that it is important for our kids to form meaningful relationships with their peers at St. Nicholas Church. Our time together begins at 10 a.m. and we finish up at 10:45 a.m. (the same time as our adult and youth classes). During the summer, there will be opportunities of service, fellowship, and fun scheduled outside of Sunday mornings. Check back for more info soon!
Children's Chapel: Sundays during the 11:00 worship service, we offer children's chapel for children preschool through 5th grade. During this time there is a kid-friendly lesson with prayers, readings, and other interactive activities. Children return to their families during the exchange of the peace.
Kids Hope USA: St. Nicholas Church is partnered with Highland Village Elementary through Kids Hope USA to provide mentors to elementary aged children.
Vacation Bible School: Each July, VBS is offered for one week. This year's VBS theme is Shipwrecked: Jesus Rescues. Be sure to check out the VBS page for more info and registration (participants and volunteers)!
Join Us: We have many opportunities to join in this exciting ministry!
